AdBlue Delivery In Staffordshire

We deliver AdBlue to businesses throughout Staffordshire, Shropshire, Cheshire & Derbyshire.

AdBlue (also known as DEF or Diesel Exhaust Fluid) has become increasingly important in helping to reduce the amount of harmful emissions released from diesel engines. Most vehicles with a diesel engine will need AdBlue. If your AdBlue level gets too low, you risk damaging the engine and some vehicle models may simply refuse to start.

How does AdBlue work?

Diesel vehicles manufactured after 2014 are designed to utilise AdBlue, this is used in combination with a treatment system called Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR). This is designed to enable the gases emitted from the engine less dangerous for our health and for the environment.

It works by the SCR blending the AdBlue with the exhaust gases. This then creates a chemical reaction which converts nitrogen oxides (NOx) into nitrogen, water and carbon dioxide (CO2). This is beneficial as Nitrogen Oxide when breathed in is an irritant to the respiratory system.

Frequently Asked Questions

AdBlue is the most well-known brand name for DEF, which is simply an acronym for Diesel Exhaust Fluid, so they are the same product.

AdBlue is needed in any vehicle that is fitted with an SCR system - most diesel vehicles since 2014 will need AdBlue. Driving the vehicle without any AdBlue can damage the engine and some of the most modern vehicles will refuse to start if the AdBlue level is detected as too low.

This varies hugely by vehicle make and model, but on average AdBlue will need topping up every 5000 - 8000 miles. Most vehicles have a gauge to indicate when levels are low, and will warn you when you are in danger of running out, similar to a fuel gauge.
