Do Stoddards offer payment plan options?
Buying heating oil is a unique experience, completely different to being on mains gas and one of the main differences is the way you can pay.
Many users on mains gas or electricity with a major energy supplier will have the option to pay a set amount every month via direct debit or standing order. This enables them to build up credit that is used throughout the year. Heating oil gives you the freedom to easily move suppliers, but some people can have a big bill come winter after using no or very little fuel during the summer.
Interest free payment plan
We understand that it’s not always possible to pay for your home heating oil in one go. To make things easier, we offer an interest free payment plan (subject to conditions). This way you can spread your payments over a year, reducing the worry of dealing with seasonal household bills. There are no set-up costs or administration charges to think about either.

How to work out your heating oil consumption
- Average family home – up to 3000 litres/year
- 4/5 bedroom home – 3000 – 5000 litres/year
- Large family and house – 5000 – 7000 litres/year
Calculating your payments
- Multiply your annual usage by the current heating oil price per litre to work out your annual cost.
- Divide this by 12 to get an approximate monthly payment.
